If you want to know about me: I am thoughtful, considerate, imaginative, creative, fun, laid-back, romantic, sexy, optimistic (hey, I'm on POF, right?), young in spirit, practical yet impractical, funny, inventive, at times deep, at times not very, respectful to those respectful of me, and respectful of life and the things and concepts that deserve honor. I am not perfect. I will always be learning something. I try to overcome my prejudices, but am not always successful. I am honorable. I am responsible. I am always open to new things, and concepts - although I also value my personal thoughts. I am willing to do what has to be done as long as it is honorable, and will stand up for what I believe. I have found I have courage, and act clearly and decisively under stress. I love the water, hot weather, the sand between my toes, the sway of a tree in the breeze, the stars at night, and the sound of the surf pounding on a beach. I love the beach, and walking for miles on it, just relaxing listening to the surf, or riding a wave.

I am not religious. While my belief is strong - it is a personal belief. I do not need someone to tell me what is right, or what is wrong. In that sense, and others, I am a free spirit. However, I firmly believe that each person must choose on their own. What is right for one, is often not right for another.

I enjoy and need people, Entertaining friends, going to an outdoor event, festival or art show, seeing a great ballet, or great musical – are some of the things I really enjoy – along with a slow dance with a beautiful woman. When eating out it’s usually Chinese, Italian, or a great salad – if it’s my choice.

I work out often. I don’t go overboard, but I think it’s important. I’m not looking for someone who’s perfect – but it would be nice if you look good in a swim suit and evening dress, don’t mind getting sand in your shoes, can carry on an intelligent conversation . . . or a silly one, and believe that passion and romance are essential to any lasting relationship. I am ideally looking for someone who I can't live without, and feels the same way about me. I need that, and miss that. Everybody does.


Anyway - I’ve said about all I wanted to. If it sounds interesting you only need say "hi". If it’s not a match, I’ll be up-front, polite, and respectful. However, with rare exception I am attracted to women on the slim side or slimmer side of average, with straighter hair. It’s purely a personal preference. And, I am a believer in "chemistry". Without chemistry, the rest is not enough.

Well. . . I think lunch is the best way to meet if that can be arranged. You get a chance to talk and relax, and see if there's anything there. But, an actual "first date" should be a nice place for dinner where you can talk more intimately, and get to know each other better.
