About Me
Hi I'm Adam,

I've been living in Victoria since 2002, and have established a pretty decent life out here. Seems I have everything I need; an education, a good career, a nice place in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and I have the most amazing friends a guy can ask for. The only void left to fill in my life is finding that significant other! Before I had filled this section out..and it was pretty funny and everything, but I think maybe my "fun" side came out a bit more and it didn't reflect a full representation of me. I'm a thoughtful, decent, compassionate, sensitive guy. My friends would describe me as being witty, funny, loyal, and intelligent. I guess I would too since I put that there though, it just sounded better writing it the other way. I'm just sort of filling this out stream of consciousness-style so bear with me. I'm a fairly well-read guy. I'm fascinated with history, and spend quite a bit of my free time trying to understand the root of the worlds issues today. I guess I'm just somebody that needs to understand why things are the way they are rather than what the media jams down our throat. Seeing as history tends to repeat itself, I guess you could say I'm reading the future too...hopefully not in a lot of the cases though. The rest of my time I spend doing all the things listed under my interests. I guess I'm on here because I'm tired of meeting the wrong kinds of girls in the wrong kinds of places, and this kind of gives you a quick peer into peoples lives to see if you might be interested! Victoria is kind of clique-y, and it can be tough to penetrate different social circles. In the end, I'm hoping to meet someone that makes me want to be a better person. Someone that gives me butterflies and makes me stammer my words, and who I do the same for. I feel like I have so much to give, but just haven't found the right girl yet. If it comes, then great..but if it doesn't then I'll just keep on travelling and doing my thing until I trip over her if I have to. =) I know this profile isn't too funny or witty...so ill just leave the old stuff down below for your reading pleasure.
Hi I'm Adam. I like to longboard, snowboard, surf..pretty much anything with a board...except maybe ironing boards, they're no fun. I've been living here in Victoria for six years now, but in my line of work its pretty tough to meet girls. The bar is not the ideal place either. I love to travel...Ive been all over Europe and to Australia, Im thinking S. America next..probably Brazil, or Spain to run with the bulls! I'm not one of those "All-inclusive resort" type travelers, I stay in hostels wherever I go to meet some interesting people. Admittedly though, one of those all-inclusive trips would be great with a girlfriend at some point, no more than a week though. I listen to all kinds of music, but in my CD player right now is the Brian Jonestown Massacre album "Tepid Peppermint Wonderland," (actually right now its Coldplay) but I'm a fan of a wide variety of music. I play a little guitar myself, but I'm not quite Eric Clapton or anything. I'm a big fan of the movies, and my all-time fav has to be "Stand By Me." It reminds me of being a kid, growing up in the country where things seemed so simple. I read a lot of books, but all non-fiction. Mostly history and political stuff, etc. Now that I'm not in school, I really want to learn for some reason. I plan on doing a post grad. Maybe an MBA, but lately Ive been leaning toward a Masters program my friend is taking in Human Security and Peace-building, or another one in Disaster Relief Management. Ghandi said that "An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind."

First Date
I would pretty much do anything. It definitely depends on the person. I think a hike to the top of Mt. Finlayson with a lunch/dinner and a bottle of wine would be a wicked time..and it would make the hike down even more interesting. I usually save Mt. Everest for the 4th date.
