Unique, independant woman seeks someone for good times and new experiences. I'm known to be quiet, a little laid back and easy to get along with. Don't confuse that with not paying attention; I'm also known as the one who will deliver a cutting remark, seemingly "out of nowhere". I am employed in the IT world, doing a job I love, and am not looking for a "free ride" from anyone. I enjoy reading, long walks, anything that involves being outdoors and music. I'm not the most athletic girl, but do work out a few times a week, and would love to have someone to occasionally give me a poke to keep going.

I value my downtime, and love to order in and watch a movie, although it's easy enough to take off for a weekend away or a late night out. Pet-lovers are appreciated. I aim to travel more, and have a list of places I'd like to see in my lifetime, from cottage country (which has a special place in my heart) to spots that are oceans away.

I am a good listener and confidant, with a sarcastic sense of humour. I have a highly developed sense of the fantastic, and if you can get my imagination going, that's an instant bonus. :) To de-stress, I can usually be found listening to music, which ranges from classic rock (Simon & Garfunkel, Led Zeppelin) to pop (Bon Jovi, U2, Janet Jackson) to anything that strikes my fancy (Great Big Sea, Andrea Bocelli). To get my attention, remember that I like things that smell good, whether it's cooking, candles, or your cologne--just make sure it's subtle.

Lastly, I appreciate someone who is articulate, and has no problem typing/speaking in complete sentences; no txt shorthand, please =)

I like most things, but anything to do with music and/or people-watching is a good choice. :)
