I'm recently free of a marriage and able to explore again -- yippeee! It's been a long while since I have had the company of a romantic woman, and I'm looking forward to seeing who's out there. She will be comfortable with herself, happy in her life, and willing to accept me with all my dents and dings. I'm not perfect and don't expect that of anyone around me, including my mate. Smokers need not even finish reading this profile. I'm funny, witty, driven, very creative and romantic. If I don't have my hands in 8 different pots, I'm at least thinking about it...though I am definitely laid-back in personality. Oh, and before I forget -- even though I am a life-long entrepreneur who's created multi-million dollar businesses and employed roughly 10,000 people, one of my life's greatest accomplishments remains...drum roll please...actually negotiating my way into the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile!!! It was only for a couple of minutes, but oh, what a magical time that was. Yep, I'm a different kinda guy, alright.

I love cooking shows even though I can't cook. I've even burned water before -- figure that one out. Sure would like to meet someone who loves to cook -- I really appreciate that artistry. And am I heavy? Oh yeah, but that's just for now. I've begun peeling off the extra insulation and am feeling good about getting back to the athlete I once was. 7-minute miles, here I come again!

Maybe I watch too much television, but news shows also intrigue me. Glenn Beck, Hannity & Colmes, Bill O'Reilly...anything that isn't too far to the right or the left. I'm an independent thinker and appreciate that in a mate, though I'm juuuuust consevative enough that I identified myself as such on the profile. Then, of course, there's my HGTV addiction. I may be seeking treatment for that before long.

It took me all these years to figure out where I am in life, but I'm also an explorer who just can't resist seeing what's around the next bend. Life is as fun and interesting as you DECIDE to make it, and my ideal partner would feel the same way. After all, why wouldn't you want to learn something new or see something you haven't seen before? Isn't that what life is for?

I try my best to be the guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot. To be the first one to call after a disagreement. The one who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat. The one who will stay awake just to watch you sleep. I am the guy who kisses your forehead, just because it's there. The one who wants to show you off to the world, even when you're in sweats. The one who holds your hand in front of my friends and thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. The one who always reminds you of how much I care and how lucky I am to have you. The one who turns to my friends and says, "That's her."

I found the above paragraph in a profile of a woman on another site, describing the man she is seeking -- but it really describes who I am and how I treat the one I love.

First date? Maybe the first date is one that didn't start out that way. Maybe I'll be waiting for friends to arrive at a restaurant, and when they show up, they've brought you along as a surprise. As the night goes on, we see that we like each other and it BECOMES a date. Wouldn't that be fun?
