I prefer honesty to warm and fuzzy so here goes......

I have been divorced for close to five and a half years and have two awesome grown sons that are both college grads and live out of state. Like most people, they are the joy of my life, and I couldn't be prouder of the fine young men that they've become.

About myself, I like to think of myself as just a regular person. The one thing that I would never do is to pretend that I'm something that I'm not. Seems to be way to much of that kind of thing going on in the cyber world. That's just my opinion. and I welcome yours. I freely admit to being a "sports guy" as someone once called me. Don't confuse that with someone that sit's in front of the tube all day watching every event that's on. I enjoy sports, but am not obsessed with them. I also really enjoy getting outside in the warm weather, love the beach, dining out, movies or even just being spontaneous. In the fall I spend alot of time on the football field as I officiate high school football and I guess you can say that it is my passion. I have worked hard to get to the status that I have, and I would hope to meet someone that can be understanding of that. I'm also very interested in how YOU spend your free time. I don't believe that two people necessarily need to have the same interests and passions across the board, but that they be understanding and supportive of the other's.

I really don't feel I should put any limits on who I am looking for as everyone is special in their own way. Let's connect first, and then take things slow and easy from there with no pressure or preconceived ideas of anything, and see if there is that "spark" that everyone look's for.

First date to me should be something casual and in a public place. Maybe just a quick chat even just to kind of break the ice. You can tell alot from just a casual thing without all the pressure of a formal date. Then if both of us are interested, it can even turn into a more formal thing if we both agree.
