About Me
My tan has faded and christmas is upon us. Anyone else find that it's a major overdose of "hoofahrah"? Sheesh.

Friends, Dating, Long term, Activity partner.. doesn't one sort of lead to the other??? Am I supposed to declare my ULTIMATE goal? If all things clicked nicely and I found that rare *soul mate*.. heck.. I'd agree to marriage!! On a more realistic scale .. friend, partner, "boyfriend", lover.. if we're having a good time and are mutually complementary who cares what you call it.

How about a game of Scrabble on line? (we can set up to play on www.isc.ro)

As much as I like playing in the garden I enjoy working on my house. I have pulled up yards of old carpet, sanded and refinished floors. I'm working my way through the place painting and *decorating*. Ironically I hate housework.
It's almost time to put the garden to bed for the winter.

I have a dog and we enjoy time at the beach (Thetis) and walks, especially if someone is into keeping us company.

I can't believe that that many of you guys are really into "long walks on the beach" or our beaches would be crawling with strolling men. Maybe I need to put down the paint brush and get out of the house and patrol the beaches!!

And my thoughts on camping... Camping is voluntary poverty. I work hard to live inside a house. Mind you.. if you have the trailor and it has a microwave I'm a camper.
My thoughts on cars.. I drive a wonderful, bright red Honda Fit. Super little car! It's amazing what you can get into it! Last Christmas I brought home a 7 ft Christmas tree in it. Big cars don't impress me.

I am a basic no make-up, jeans and runners kinda girl but I realize that a picture of me covered in paint and dirt isn't a great sales pitch. I CAN (and do) dress up and paint my face but I draw the line at high heels. My newest picture was taken in October on my cruise. Glitter and sunburn!!

I am happy to get emails and messages. I enjoy language and writing enough to take pleasure in a "correspondence". I am not particularly interested in you if you've hit rock bottom on the other side of the proverbial hill or if you are closer to my son's age than to mine I like to say "if you weren't there for that first generation of saran wrap (yeah.. where it took 3 people to wrap a sandwich because it stuck to itself), We probably don't have a lot to talk about."

I listen to jazz music by way of on-line radio streaming -- www.jazz24.org Great station!!

so...
I am me. I am not beautiful, slim, or young but I am intelligent, funny. I pay for my own coffee/movie/meal but I won't fight about it if it's that important to you. I want your company. Make me laugh .. make me think.. talk about kids/grandkids. In the long run it would be wonderful to have someone there to hand me a towel when I get out of the shower... or heck.. to steal my towel!! but I have little hope/expectation of meeting Mr Right. Maybe you are Mr OK.. or maybe not.

It's a crap shoot here. There are no filters. You can only guess about people based on a photo (a recorded image of one small fractional moment of who you are), a profile that is probably slanted towards what you think I want to hear and a few hundred typed words, perhaps, of email correspondence.

That said...
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If we "click".. that's a bonus.

First Date
A long walk on the beach?? hahahaha.. a stroll with the dog(s)?.. coffee? swim? (we could practice the towel scenes) hahahahaha...
