I'm a happy person with a natural curiosity and love of learning. Always game for exploring something new and thrive on challenges, both intellectual and athletic. With music and sports I divide my time between being a spectator and playing. I listen to many different types of music – from Ryan Adams to the Zombies, Bauhaus to Pete Yorn. As with anyone there are things that I am pretty keen to avoid - the Mets (except for 86), mullets, made up words, people who litter, flat tires, fussy clothes (including tassel loafers), haggis, Yanni, racism and the NRA. I also love all activities on or in the water and enjoy boats, beaches, kayaking, hiking, the mountains in the fall, nature, movies, museums, reading, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble or other board games, travel, eating out, coffee, conversation, weekend escapes, romance, dancing in the kitchen, cuddling or just taking a walk and holding hands. My favorite times are on the water but I am equally comfortable going out for dinner and then catching a local/not yet widely known band, preferably outdoors in the summer, pretty much anywhere I can enjoy time with someone special.

I am attracted to motivated, independent, down to earth, and above all, kind men. I'm looking for someone with a brain (intelligence is a definite turn on), a sense of humor and a good heart. Opposable thumbs and a working knowledge of the alphabet are a must; two left feet are okay as long as you're a good sport. Someone who would take up a new sport or hobby just to learn something new is definitely my type. Someone who can entertain more than one point of view at a time would be even better. I am looking for someone special to love, laugh, share life with and make great memories with. I want to grow old(er) with someone, not because of them. Now that autumn, and soon winter, is here, bowling is always fun -- even though I seriously suck at it, just ask my nephew -- and a nice way for people to meet and casually spend some time together. I also love to ice skate and think that would be a great first date. I am always open to suggestions.
