Not quite the norm-what's that anyway?...read on; drop me a line if the shoe fits!

An independent nature; somewhat of an adventurer; can throw a plan together & it usually falls into place. Positive Focus.

My ultimate desire is to find "the one" love affair that lasts. EMOTIONALLY available (required); honorable (can be taken at your word and your actions match); capable of being a best friend & lover; know yourself (do you like who you are - good chance someone else may too), communicate openly, are secure & appreciate the same in a woman (me?). Our friendship will be the basis of a growing, loving relationship. We share many interests & still are able to enjoy those we don't have in common. Enhanced by our individuality & differences, weave the passion of romance throughout & ours will be "a love affair that lasts".

MOI: I enjoy water sports & outdoor activities. Diving, a motorcycle ride (yes, I have my own!); SAILING-I'm a good first mate; Kayaking. Other past times (some far too past-look forward to doing more with you?!): cycling, horseback riding, skiing (alpine/x-country).

I'm an LMT, also I practice & teach Yoga & Pilates (Mat & Reformer) for balance & tone, body, mind & spirit; and Seniors exercise program. I take a holistic approach to health & life; & enjoy very good health.

Have traveled - mostly Europe during the 70's - w/a 1.5yr jaunt; a other places over the years Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Thailand; recently Alaska. Now, mostly its Islands for some diving; Carnival in Trinidad; visit friends/family. I frequently am in Key Largo, it's like a mini-vacation -- rejuvenating. Since I arrived in Miami, it's felt like one long vacation - does it get any better than living in paradise (alas I do work for a living).

Yes, I enjoy the "basics" eating in/out (this is not a hobby) -- fairly skilled in the kitchen...if you are, great, I love a man who can cook too.

Let me not leave out, the ARTS: Theatre, concerts, Dance performances, an exceptional exhibit at a museum. Music preferences-classical, jazz, folk, blues, oldies, new age, reggae, calypso, pan (best live), "soft rock".

YOU: My desire is that you come with some fun things of your own to share; an easy going attitude; are laid back, and "active". You stay in good shape, enjoy good health (mental & physical) and have a positive attitude toward life & living it! You want to find a woman to add to & enhance your life. You're NOT needy, but enjoy time shared together - however, you like your space and respect mine.

Have never had the joy of raising a child, but have shared the joys in my friends' children. Much of my life has been spent on my own - I'm ready and willing to make a change - are you the person to make the difference?

My strong preference after our initial email exchange is to go to voice; determine if we still desire to pursue a meet. If so, let's 'Just Do It'...our first meeting best kept simple....Starbucks or the like, a drink by the water - and take it from there. I DO want to find "just one special man to share life with". I don't need "just another date" for something to do. I have plently to fill my time otherwise. Okay so I forgot to mention. I'm fairly direct! Well, now you know!

Notes: Unfortunately, I'm terribly allergic to cats. I have a dog - she has a way of ingratiating herself tail (rather stump) spinning full throttle.

I know well what it is to be young at heart - I am, I feel it & I too look (younger than my years-but do not have to lie about my age!!!!!!!; yes, you too).... So I do understand & I'm sure you do as well, but if you're into your late 60's or above, you are beyond my STRONG preference of age range. Same goes for 40'somethings or below (too young).
