I'm hoping to make a new friend who shares my quirkiness, and has time to spend socially.

Things I like doing with said friend include ~ ferry trips, Karaoke, mini-golf, and browsing big malls.

I get over to Vancouver once or twice a month for excursion's sake (hence ferry trips). It would be really nice to meet someone who lives along the skytrain routes so I'd have someone to hang out with when I'm there. The malls are bigger there, too .. lol, Metrotown! It's also fun to just see what's in the other stations' neighbourhoods. This is something I'd enjoy with a buddy.

It's important I make it clear that by 'friend' I DO NOT MEAN:
- FWB
- "you're nice, but" (euphemism for 'go away and never come back')
- I'm just using you for free meals and transportation while I wait for someone who turns me on.

By 'friend', I DO MEAN:
- companionship to share fun activities that don't cost much or anything
- someone I find cute and charming, but am not necessarily up to dating because either we haven't gotten familiar enough yet, or there are other reasons we should just stay friends.
- a guy who respects that I would be forthright enough to admit how I feel either way; who appreciates and returns this honesty.

One more thing I ought to mention: I'm very shy with any physical affection. It takes me a while to feel safe with a person before I can accept contact beyond a quick hug. Please understand it's not YOU: it's what I've experienced and how I need to take care of myself. Plus I'm just not that touchy-feely with people, especially if I don't know them.

"Date" is too specific a term: I prefer "meet".

So... for our first "meet", I would really like if you're in Vancouver so you'd be waiting for me at Bridgeport Station! It's kind of a thrill thing for me when to know someone will be there when I arrive.

If you're in Victoria, it's fine: that just makes things a bit more convenient, and we can BOTH ride the ferry!

One note about weight: I'm more than 'a few extra pounds', but I have a problem with the 'BBW' adjective, as it envisages a very curvy, buxom and tall woman. I'm more Hobbit-shaped...sans furry feet, lol.
