I have been a widower for several years. I retired as a captain from a major airline in December 2001, having flown for almost 37 years. I am still very active. People tell me that I look my age, although just how are we supposed to look? I am 5' 9" 180lbs. As far as hair goes, I am thin on the top, but ok on the sides with a healthy white moustache that still grows. I own my home in the country, (in the woods), and enjoy the work involved in keeping it up. I especially love the outdoors, scuba diving, sailing, and cross country skiing among others. I am also very involved with a soaring, (Gliders), club, where I do a lot of towing in a single engine airplane. I recently purchased a single engine airplane which I flew from the West coast back here. I plan on flying all over the good old USA to see up close what I saw from 30,000 plus feet during my airline career.
My family consists of 3 lovely children ranging in age from early 20's to early 30's I like sharing quiet dinners, either at home, or out, and an occasional movie, and the arts. I still like to travel, even after all the years "on the road". I have a good sense of humor, and enjoy the companionship of those that can share their humor too. I am very easy to get along with. I do tend to be on the open side as far as expressing my feelings, which I guess, has its good and bad points. I have been dating for quite sometime now. The women that I have seen have been true ladies in every sense, and I have enjoyed the times spent with them.

I have dated many women over the past few years and have found that no matter how many emails or telephone calls are made, it is the first face to face date that counts the most. I typically like to meet at a nice restaurant, (safe), for lunch or dinner.
