I have been a member of this site for quite some time now. I used to have a long, well thought out and truthful profile. Regardless of what it said the quality of the messages I received stayed about the same. I have decided to cut to the chase.

My stats are accurate. I am 5’2 and weigh 125 on a bad day. You can decide for yourself what category that puts me in.

I have been single for a long time and am not looking for an instant relationship. I know what I do and don’t like. I don’t see myself changing my preferences and don’t expect anyone else to change theirs.

I am just looking for someone that I am mentally and physically attracted to. If I am neither of those things I won't have an interest in communicating. Harsh but true. I would prefer no one lead me on therefore I will not do it to another person.

I don’t have the age or distance preferences set because I participate in the forums and don’t want to prohibit anyone there from messaging me. That being said please pay attention to the following two paragraphs.

I live in a very small town and the dating pool here is shallow to say the least. I am fine with meeting someone in Jacksonville. I really don’t have any desire to meet someone any farther away than that. I am very busy and a long distance relationship is like having another job. I don’t have the time or energy for that.

I really don’t want to meet someone that is far younger or older than me.

I try to respond to all emails. That means real emails. I do not expect a novel but

will not get a response. You took no time to be genuine or show actual interest so I don't feel that I need to waste time responding. It isn't fair to those who actually send a real email regardless of my level of interest. /rant

I am sorry if that seemed negative. It is not my intention to have such a large portion of my profile focused on what I don't want. I am just exhausted by receiving messages like the ones I described. I see that little envelope and I get excited (I know, easily entertained) so when I open it and it says any of those things I get disappointed. Blah. This should be a fun process!

First dates are tricky. I actually prefer that it be a first meeting rather than an actual date. I guess any activity where conversation could take place would be ideal. Meeting for drinks (coffee, adult, etc.) is always a good option.
