Wow, where to begin...

Well, I've been through the best and the worst when it comes to relationships...as I'm sure many people can say. I try really hard to ultimately see each one of them as a positive experience and learn as much as possible about myself...which of course is a somewhat daunting task, but I've found that it's the best way to get through the heartache. I'm looking to get married and have kids pretty soon, but I'm past the point where I think every guy I meet is or should be the one. I think sometimes guys think that just because a chick wants to get married and have kids that she would marry ANYONE or have ANYONE's kids. That's not the case...at least not for me, but it's important that guys know that's what I'm LOOKING for!

So here are some things about me:
I love watching Discovery, Animal Planet, History Channel, Family Guy, Headlines on Jay Leno, and a whole bunch more. I can quote a butt load of movies, so I'm typically not the person you want to see Billy Madison, Braveheart, Clueless, or any other cult classics with unless you're cool with me quoting from beginning to end. I like seeing new movies too!

I love animals and I would probably be a vegetarian if I didn't also love red meat and leather. Right now the only pet I have is a fish named Chuck Norris. He kicks ass. I'll be getting a dog this fall/winter.

I just went back to school to be an Elementary School Teacher. I'll be done in a couple years and I can't wait to finish so I can start teaching!

People sometimes think I'm overly analytic and maybe even moody. I prefer pensive and passionate.

I'm generally content to sit in bed all day and read a good book, but I'm up for the occasional adventure. I love the Caribbean, Europe, the woods, the beach. I've tried skiing and I'm not that great at it, but I'm considering trying snow-boarding this year. I love nature hikes too, but I'm no mountain climber!

I'm wildly reactive (read: not exactly PROactive) in terms of political and socio-cultural issues and it is not uncommon for me to get fired up over tyranny. Don't be afraid to disagree with me, but if you're not open minded, don't even bother! That said, I'd prefer a Democrat, but if you're middle of the road, we can talk. :)

One last thing: Please do not write me poetry. I'm not going to think that you're sexy or manly because you can rhyme. I mention this only because I've had some dudes write me some, um, "interesting" messages.

P.S. If you've read this far into my profile and you decide to write to me, mention something about me wearing a Mets jersey in front of the Red Sox sign. It's a good way of weeding out people who only look at my photos!
