First and foremost I am a mom of two wonderful children. I have been divorced for four years now and have a shared custody arrangement that allows me to dedicate time to my career and personal life while at the same time being an important part of their lives.

I am an extremely social person and tend to meet a lot of new people wherever I go but I am looking for someone and/or something special. I want someone who is at ease with spending the night out on the town but enjoys a quiet dinner at home or a BBQ with friends. I want to spend extra time on a friday night doing hair and nails to go out for a nice dinner or to the theatre and then not worry about getting my hands dirty taking a long bike ride or getting a campsite ready for a night in Northern Michigan. Although I like to get dressed up and I dress in business attire 5 days a week, jeans and flip flops are staples in my summer wardrobe more often than sundresses and heels.

I am looking for someone that is flexible and spontaneous. Someone who can make me laugh when I feel like crying and puts a smile on my face in any situation. I am not a huge tv or movie person but have a few favorites. I listen to all kinds of music but will admit that the majority of the time it is country or 80s. I am also very attracted to a man that can carry a tune or even better play a musical instrument.

I like to drink socially...everything from a beer, a shot of something fun, to a great glass of wine depending on my mood and the occasion. I am a firm believer in trying the unknown and tend to try anything I'venever drank or ate before. My favorite summer acitivity includes checking out festivals all over to get a feel for the local flavor.

Update: As of September '09 I am also a grad student. I am at EMU with goals of obatining my MBA by the time I am 40! Everyone should have goals!

First dates can be so many things....a nice quiet dinner, coffee at a local cafe, drinks at a hole-in-the wall bar, a wild weekend in Vegas....I am up for just about anything!
