I'm 27 years old and I'm currently employed for an Area Agency on Aging. I love my work, and consider myself to be extremely lucky that I have a job that I greatly enjoy working in the area in which I'm passionate about.

I enjoy hiking, reading, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with the people that I care about. The people who are closest to me tell me that I'm one of the kindest, most gentle people they know (but you can judge that for yourself).

I'm looking for an intelligent, educated man who is kind, patient, and generous. I love people with a sense of humor when it comes to every day life. Intellectual pursuits are a large part of my life so it's important to me that we share some common interests in that regard. Openness and willingness to communicate are two traits that I admire. I want someone who knows how to make me smile, even when I'm sad. A man who knows how to go out and have a great time one night, but sit and discuss literature and art with me another night would be ideal. I would also love to meet a person who not only loves me in spite of, but loves me because of my quirky tendencies.

There are so many different things that people could do on a first date, but I prefer a setting that is conducive to maintaining a decent conversation so that we can get to know one another. Restaurants are the "standard" first date, and I'm not adverse to them. Learning about the other person is very important to me, and I consider myself a better listener than a speaker, so I would like someone who isn't afraid to talk. Overall, I'm open for pretty much anything.
