I would describe myself as attractive, intelligent, and shy. I have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy learning new things; I appreciate what others have to offer, no matter how big or small. My dimples and the fact that I do not look my age are what usually get looks cast my way. I am detail oriented, which is both a blessing and a curse. I think a person's character is far more important than what they "say." I am making my way in the civilian arena and am in the third year of my doctoral program. My ideal man is driven to action, not by external forces but by what's on the inside, his character. A good sense of humor balancing out a strong intellect is both a turn on and refreshing. Financial responsibility and a strong work ethic are mandatory. Assertiveness and a good body (defined as taking pride in personal appearance) are a plus. A man that defends my honor and makes me laugh while showing me a tender side is the icing on the cake. Drama-free, strongly believes in the concept of reciprocity, and does not hold me accountable for relationships past (guilty until proven innocent).

An outdoor jazz concert or dinner would be ideal as a first date because it would time to "chat" without pressure. I would prefer a mutual agreement on the venue of the first date, then select the second option for the second date:)
