I have been on my own for some time now and just started back into dating recently. I had to take some time to myself and re-evaluate my life. I look at things differently now. I see life as a journey in which there will be mistakes and you had better learn from them(hopefully the first time). Einstein said, something to the effect, that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So, I am doing things differently now. I take risks(calculated)now that I would not have taken before. I don't live life on the edge but I can see the other side of the valley now.

I like the beach,water,mountains,mornings,sunsets,family,warm breezes,red wine, the truth and long slow deep kisses.

I don't like green peppers(red,yellow and orange are all ok),mediocrity nor complacency.

I aspire to be surrounded by people who are inspiring, to continue to live a life with meaning and passion,to be in excellent physical and mental condition, to be a better father, son, brother and friend, to be healthier and wiser than my age and to be timeless.

The type of person I would like to meet would have to be active, fit, positive, sincere and real.

If we get what we are looking for in a relationship we will not look elsewhere and elsewhere could be anywhere: the bottom of a bottle or the bottom of POF(no offence). The problem is that we do not teach each other what we want. If I knew what women wanted I would probably still be married but I don't. I am a guy and somewhat dumb(maybe very dumb). It is no excuse but it is what it is. I don't speak your language, I don't see what you see, I don't smell what you smell, I can't feel what you feel and I can't sense what you sense. I definitely don't hear what you hear. I can't even taste what you taste. But I want to! All of these senses make up the essence of who we are, so we all experience life a little differently, and for some, a lot differently. But I want to learn what you see, feel, taste, smell, hear and sense: the essence of you. I suppose the challenge would be to see if I could do this and if you could do the same for me. This would take time, patience and understanding but I think it could be worth it.

Some of the things we need in a long term relationship if we were looking for such: I would like you to feel that I give more than I receive in the relationship. We need to be able to anticipate each other's needs. I want us to notice one another from afar when we are in the same room, and to love and adore one another when we are not. I would like to be one of those couples that you just know are together by the way they look, touch and speak to each other. I want to desire you as much as you desire me. I want you to be able to love and trust me fully. I want to be able to understand and recognize what you are going through. I want you to be able to confide in me as I do with you. I want to be able to help you in life(if you want) and to show you that you are not alone in our journey. I want to feel passionate intimacy with you and be sensitive to all of our needs.

Oh, by the way, I have fractured my sternum 3 times, separated my left shoulder and recently my right, broken fingers and toes, back surgery, fractured ribs, broken nose, had my front tooth knocked out 3 times(once by my twin brother), several concussions and an array of scars to my face from sticks, pucks, skates and a two by four(twin brother again). Even though none of my injuries were from fighting don't ever think I wouldn't drop the gloves for you!

A casual, relaxed meeting for coffee(I drink tea) or drinks or something active and fun. Something safe so I don't hurt myself. :)
