About Me
I am a very open-minded, easy-going person who values humour, intelligence and stability over all else. My life revolves around learning new ideas and experiencing new things, and I am looking for someone to enjoy life with. That's where the easy stuff ends! In many ways, I am a walking contradiction. I don't really believe in a god, but I am facinated by religion and love to learn about different belief systems. I am a staunch feminist, but my greatest ambition in life is to be a wife and stay-at-home mother, and devote my life to creating a loving, happy home enviornment. I am shy and have a hard time approaching new people, but I sing karaoke with the best of them and I have no stage-fright! I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but I have no interest in the sci-fi/fantasy genre as a whole. This is just the beginning, but I'll leave it up to you to find out more! As for what I am looking for in another person, it's really quite simple. I would like to find a kind, family-oriented, emotionally and financially stable (that does NOT mean rich, it just means stable enough to start a family) person, who values freethought as much as I do, and can both make me laugh hysterically and challenge me intellectually. I am looking for someone who sees the same future as I do, one of a family built on mutual love and respect for each other. I am looking for someone who is responsible and mature, but still retains some childlike exhuberance in their downtime. A lust for life is essential!
First Date
When meeting people for the first time, I like to do things that don't require much activity beyond speaking and getting to know each other. Going to the beach or to the park is always fun, and grabbing coffee (because coffee is my social lubrication of choice) afterwards in or near a bookstore is my idea of a heavenly day. And word to the wise, you can win my heart by taking me to the movies every weekend, because that is my all-time favorite activity! There is something about settling into the seats with your snacks just as the lights are going down that fills me with excitement just like it did when I was a kid!
