About Me
Youthful in mind, body and attitude fun-seeker. I'm fortunate to be able to do things I love to make my way in this world and desire to never stop learning and growing.
Love road trips and exploring even just for the sake of doing so. Traveling anywhere and by any means has always been a favorite activity. As far as camping? Love sleeping under the stars and have since I was a kid. With that said, maybe because I live in the wide-open expanses of Wyoming, I don't feel the need to get away from it all like some in more metropolitan areas do. I truly believe that in the right company, anything can be fun and memorable, so if camping is big with you, sure, I'll do it, but in all honesty, I think I'd much rather "get away from it all" at a 5-Star resort with a pool, that has some half-day retreats and attractions nearby. I cruise through the Uinta Mountains quite often, and if even half of the profiles that I've read, (where people list camping as a primary activity) were to show up simultaneously, you couldn't see the forest through...the people...not knocking camping as an activity, just making an observation...
While I dig technology and am almost overwhelmed & awe-struck at times by the latest advances, I love the challege of mastering a new process or way of performing. On the flip side, I've always been fascinated by history in most forms. Hard to realize where we're headed if we don't know where we've been...
I swim 3 to 5 miles a week - makes all the difference in the world in every facet of life for me. I will still enjoy the occasional fast-food meal or pizza, but my dietary habits have vastly improved - lots of fruit & veggies, Healthy Choice meals and the like - do adore dark chocolate and may go a bit overboard at times with energy drinks like Rock Stars.
Sports and music would be two of my passions. Music is with me in most everything I do. While I love sporting events, I'm not consumed by them - they are much better live than on TV anyway...add to that the fact that I travel as a radio sports play-by-play announcer, and that may explain why I'm not glued to a TV on weekends - I do enjoy my Wyoming Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers & Utah Jazz when I can catch them, and yeah, I'll watch golf, too! But gone are the days of sitting through 3 to 4 games on a Sunday, unless it's in a party atmosphere, (okay, with maybe one exception...the first 4 days of the NCAA Final Four Tourney - my favorite sporting event of all). I've found that many women never got into sports because no one would ever take the time to explain the strategies, nuances and passion behind them - I love doing that, just as I would enjoy learning something, (say like the art of dance in its many forms) gleaning from your expertise/experience - something you're passionate about, whatever it may be, that I have never understood, considered, appreciated or even thought about. It has to do with continually learning, growing, and a desire to compromise with and enrich one another's lives. This is true for friendships, in my opinion, and crucial, if things blossom beyond being friends. Diversity is what makes the world go round...
I love live theater and have taken a number of roles myself, albiet not recently. I'd love to pursue that again as time allows, but will enjoy most anything live.
I'm fortunate to have a nice wardrobe and a sense of style. I wear cologne everyday -as the expression goes, I feel naked without it...
Married once at 41 and have never had children of my own, although I've helped raise a few in my time. I strive to be a cool uncle and positive role model to my friend's kids and youth in general. Free as a bird, and if we click, up for anything...
I claim and really believe I'm not looking for a serious relationship at this point, but also know that if the right person comes along, (and I think people sense this fairly early on) that could very well all change...so I'm open to and honestly acknowledge that little ideal. Yeah, I possess a definite flair for the obvious, too...Doh! Didn't I just describe most everyone?
Wow, I've got some major run-on sentences above.
Life is too short to not be enjoyed.
"Man should eat when hungry, drink when thirsty and love during all seasons."
First Date
This really depends...something you and I both at least like or have always wanted to try...I'm wide open - creativity and spontaneity score big, I'm sure with you, too...
