I enjoy variety and spontaneity in everything. I like to be stimulated mentally ( both intellectually and romantically), so consequently routine bores me. My biggest peeve is "Ignorance" in the literal sense of the word. I cannot understand people who choose to remain uninformed. I think the Internet is one of the greatest inventions of the last Century; anything you could care to learn you can find.

I have had the pleasure of knowing some wonderful women in my life, and have been enriched by everyone of them. I am a sucker for an intelligent, witty, clever and feminine woman. I like to think of myself as gentleman and therefore prefer a lady. She should feel equally at ease in the little black dress or barefoot on a boat. I consider myself to be an excellent cook, so she can open the wine, while I prepare her a gourmet meal. (or if you want to cook, I'll do the dishes)

I enjoy being outdoors, and anywhere near water or mountains makes me feel best. (It has something to do with the negative Ions, did you know country/seaside air has 8-10 times the negative ions of city air). Have you ever noticed the same people who would give you the horn or a finger in the city, give you a wave and a smile when you're on a boat.

My daughter is greatest contribution I have made to this world, she is a wonderful lady currently living in London, England and tremendous talent. (a diva; yes she is an opera singer)

I have had a wonderful and interesting Life. My work has allowed me to travel the world, and appreciate many things.

One of my passions is to go somewhere new, get in a car, a train, or walk and get lost in new experiences. (have you ever walked around a great European city?) When you reach a crossroad try a new road, you never know what you will find.

I have no problem making friends with strangers and enjoy meeting new people. Consequently I have learned a few things. For one you shouldn't have to work at a relationship. Trying to fit a square peg in a round hole is futile. It either is or it isn't. When you care and love someone, it's not work to bend a little, you do it because it makes her happy, and consequently makes you feel good.

A few warning signs, women who have never been married or in a long term relationship. In life the best fruit gets picked first, and if you have had children you know what real love is. If you are a lady with a REAL dog, then I'm your kind of Guy. Family and real Friends are important to me.

You should be secure in yourself, that means if we are in a social setting, and we are on opposite sides of the room, that look we give each other says everything.

after that, Well, I like to surprise and be creative. Ie. Dinner followed by live music and dancing, and a moonlight stroll along the lake ... would be my preference
