Here’s the profile of a 65 year old divorced male, living in Western Michigan . I was married for 7 years once, and have no children or emotional baggage. I've been an ethical vegetarian (vegan) for 20 years. My interests are earth-sheltered homes, solar energy, the environment, animal welfare, self-improvement, digital photography, my Apple computer and certainly the treadmill I own, to name a few.

My belief is in a Supreme Being though I am not a religious person. I believe we all make our own reality and I’m learning how to change those things that no longer satisfy me. My life has been mostly analytical but I’m now trying to develop my emotional side more and more. I still need help with that part. Any good teachers out there?

Some adjectives that would accurately describe me are: monogamous, honest, articulate, punctual, reliable, intelligent (I’ve taken tests as proof) and sometimes witty. I also tend to make the lady in my life a top priority. That last one is a long-standing habit that I don’t wish to change.

I'm personally more comfortable in a casual setting than formal. I like ALL animals; am not a hunter and when it comes to viewing sporting events, I’d rather watch paint dry (any color). I like to talk, but communicate would be more accurate and I strive to be accurate and precise. I like to laugh and feel that a day without laughter is like a day without sunshine.

Photography, self-help books, psychics, the Internet and great scenery, including sunrises, sunsets and deserts are additional interests. I'm quite handy with building things or finding solutions to problems and I'm very mechanically inclined. Of course I also enjoy travel, good movies, music and interesting recipes. As soon as I learn how, I think I’ll enjoy reading books too.

So, if I’m all these neat things, why would I have a profile listing on this website? Read on.

I’d like the woman in my life to be a vegetarian (preferably vegan). I'd like her to have a similar perspective about the Universe. I do NOT want her to change for me as I'd like her to be what I'm looking for without altering herself to suit anyone else. It goes without saying that she needs to be a non-smoker. If she considered herself attractive without the need of cosmetics, that would be a plus. I’m also looking for a woman who never had children and didn't want any in the future.

If there is to be a woman in my life, I want her there for reasons that are very important to me. I want to talk to her and with her. I want to laugh with her and dream with her, and if necessary, to cry with her. I want her to be my friend, lover and companion. Above all these wants however, is my most important one: I simply want to love her.
