OK, time to redo this...

My names Derek. For fun, I get into a lot of stuff. Everything from golf, to shooting guns. Camping/floating, playing with my dog, finding new places around St. Louis, going to Forest Park, going out with friends, going to local shows (i usually go to at least one concert a week), playing music (I'm in a couple bands), reading, writing...the list can really go on and on. Lets put it this way; there isn't too much stuff I DON'T like.

I currently spend all of my professional time managing my business. I invented a composite material made from old clothing. Right now, its used in the cutlery and firearms industries. I plan on some pretty rapid expansion in the near future, and as with any small business a lot of what would be personal time turns into professional time. Part of the territory.

I'm intelligent, ambitious, creative. A lot of other things that I don't really feel like listing. Lets just say I'm a type A personality.

Music is pretty important to me. I am very open minded, and listen to everything from Beethoven to 2pac. However, bluegrass is pretty near and dear to me.
Right now my top three picks are; William Elliott Whitmore, Murder by Death, and Wrong Reasons.
