Before you go any further: I'd like to meet some local people and find out a bit more about my area. So if you're up for that, I am too. ALSO: I only posted a pic because I got tired of "You MUST have a picture to contact this user..." Like I wouldn't send one otherwise. Geez. Its the first pic of me I happened to come across and it's horrible. I've got others, and if you remember to ask politely, I'd be happy to send some. I do not have any nude/semi-nude pics, and don't intend to take any for you, so please don't ask for them unless you like hearing "no."

As you can probably guess from the above paragraph, I'm pretty straightforward. I have little difficulty speaking my mind and am usually direct when I do. Its not that I'm unable to be politically correct -- I'm quite capable of it -- it's that I prefer to be plain spoken as it tends to be more honest. So, if that's a problem for you, I apologize in advance but have no intention of changing it. I'm also a very down to earth kind of person. I don't often stand on ceremony, I'm not very materialistic and I tend to be pretty in touch with who I am. I am passionate about a number of things as well as being physically passionate. I am also caring, kind, giving, and loving. I'm sure I could come up with a bunch of other adjectives to describe me, but if you meet me, you can fill in the blanks yourself.

I enjoy reading, music, taking walks (ok, strolls), playing w/ my children , swimming, SCUBA when I get the chance. Black and White photography, Colour Television (which I only use to watch movies on), Cards, and yes, Football. I also like hockey, especially when they DON'T fight!

I have children who most of the time I think are wonderful, and the other 1% I consider duct taping to the wall. I find that viewing the world through the eyes of a child can be a very exciting and sometimes awe-inspiring experience, and I love to watch them learn and explore. I have a cat who's too nice for his own good, but he's soft and petable so we keep him. ;) Or maybe he keeps us? Its always hard to tell with cats.

As to my very personal side, well if you meet me you'll get to know it bit by bit. I'm attracted to men of a wide range of ages as the actual age means little to me. If I can connect with you on some level I'm usually good with it. My feeling is that age is a number not a death sentence... and most often we are as old or young as we feel we are. Just be over 21 so you can legally buy me a drink, and I'll have to think about you if you've got your AARP card. ;)

One thing that I don't think many people will admit to on a site like this: I sometimes get tired of doing all the "adult" things and making all the "hard" choices by myself. I think that is part of what I need in a good partner -- someone to talk those things through with and to come to a decision on together, not just about my children, but about the things in life that are important (goals, difficulties, etc). THAT I think I need in a relationship. I'm going to shut up on that topic now as it tends to scare you men off -- I'm not entirely sure why that is, because I know you have to make the same decisions I do, but for some inexplicable reason it is more frightening to you to do that with a caring, loving and supportive woman at your side than not -- if Im terribly mistaken there, please accept my apologies and then tell me WHY it is you are single and reading my profile? :) I'd wager you are looking for something similar to what I am looking for here.

Ok, other things about me: I enjoy visititing w/ friends. I love to laugh and find that it helps to make the world a bit brighter for me and those around me. I tend to be sarcastic, and make jokes about just about everything -- including myself. So, if you're the type of person that can't laugh at yourself or take a joke, we wouldn't get on well. I am looking for some companionship that is witty, smart and very interesting. One last thing: an "intimate chat" isn't talking dirty, it's talking about private personal things with another person who is able to do the same. :)

I love long walks, candle light, and romanticism. Kissing me senseless is always a good move, and is yours to make. Energetic dates are great... hiking, boating, etc... but not a must. I enjoy outdoor activities as long as I have sunscreen. I like to shoot pool and darts, preferably not simultaneously! I'm terrible at both, but still think its fun. I also like to just hang out, have a few cold beers and get to know who I'm with. Forceful personalities are a challenge to me in most circumstances. I used to like debating current issues, but right now I'd just be thrilled with a fun bit of verbal banter. I'm game if you are!
