About Me
I'm a fun guy with a great (yet odd) sense of humor. I'm well-read, intelligent, and a great cook! I enjoy movies (I have a BA in Film from UCF and worked in the industry for 17 years) and reading (2 years of Graduate Studies in Literature and Critical Theory at FSU), travel, and many other things. I'm pretty much open for new experiences.
I'm currently working on multiple short stories and a novel (which is driving me insane). I'm also opening up an antique store on eBay (due to a death in the family), and hopefully will be jumping back into catering soon.
The ideal woman for me would be kind, honest, funny, and attractive (you don't have to be a super-model--I think beauty is subjective). A penchant for the written word would be nice, as well as an enjoyment of rollercoasters and good food. If you enjoy a nice pub, all the better!
I'll confess up front that I'm just now going back to the gym (and hating every second of it--the first two weeks blow), so I'm slowly returning to my physical self.
So... hopefully these few words will give you an idea of what I am... But only an idea. Meeting in person is always far better.
****UPDATE: I'm currently involved in what may turn into a long-term relationship. As such, I'm primarily on this site to keep in touch with some friends and (with luck) keep up-to-date with some of the great parties thrown by certain members.
First Date
Hmmm... a first date. Well, I think drinks and/or dinner are in order instead of a movie--mainly because you can't get to know the other person during a movie.
I would probably go this route:
1. Meet for a drink at a fun, light-hearted place.
2. If all goes well, we'd either stay there and eat or go to a more intimate setting. As I've not been in this area for a while, I'm not really sure. I tend to prefer non-chain restaurants, though I'm not opposed to the occasional Red Lobster.
3. And if things continue to go well, and we're talking our heads off, then we go to the beach for a nice walk. Whether the date ends with a kiss or not depends on the lady...
