My mom thinks this because I don't ever bring boys home to meet her...but I am neither, in case you were wondering. I have been very busy the last few years and no one has managed to hang on to me, and I haven't found anyone I want hanging on anyway! I travel a lot and am exceptionally independent, and I like my freedom and gypsy life. I have dated my share of sex-crazed maniacs, commitment-phobes and the assorted zealot. I really do like to meet people and go out. I don't know if i want to get married, as I never have been, but I am not one night stand material as I tend to get much too attached. I am just tired of doing things by myself, or with my female friends and their kids!

I am adventurous and smart, and have a sense of humor. I can hold an intelligent discussions on many subjects....my interests vary from astronomy to crochet to theatre to history. I am well educated and very open minded - neither a democrat or a republican but am not scared to say that I think our current administration is whacked out, and I firmly believe in my right to choose...in ALL matters! I like to have fun and while I can curse like a sailor when I am irritated, I'd rather not be obnoxious and rude in public.

I like romance and sweetness and surprises. I can't stand people that when asked, "What do you want to do," say, "I don't know, what do YOU want to do?" I asked, now you need to have an opinion!!

I am VERY allergic to cats, so if you have them and are not willing to give them up for the right woman, please don't bother - I will just make you mad...I will probably drive you mad anyway, even if you DON'T have cats, as i seem to have that effect, but the cat thing is a deal breaker!

first date or first meeting? they are different things. In my experience, it is easiest to meet first for a walk at Reid park or Udall or just plain old coffee....I met a guy for a hike once, and that wasn't so good, cuz he turned out to be a ego-centric jerk, and I had to spend 4 hours with him hoping he would SHUT UP and walk faster! With coffee, if i hate you and vice versa, no harm done, no major expense, no time wasted.

Now, a first DATE is different...that is where I would want to see what kind of potential there is in the future....doesn't have to be about a fancy dinner or anything...i am relatively laid back and easy to please, and I like surprises as long as they don't hurt!
