Hi and thanks for looking. The little guy in the pictures is my beautiful grandson :-). I am 47, divorced and have two grown sons. I am a former small business owner. I enjoy watching a good movie, going to a state park or especilly a place like Ginnie Springs or Rainbow River. I am a handyman type although I cannot do everything, I have found I can learn to do anything. I also love to laugh, yeah even at myself. I never use my dishwasher, although I am almost certain I could learn how. I love country music and a lot of traditional country, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette.
I actually like to walk on the beach at sunset and at night. I love to sit and talk. I work out regularly and need to lose a few pounds, and yes I'll start on January.......3rd?
I enjoy reading, mostly nonfiction but want to learn to enjoy fiction. I love television, but have a terrible time finding things that keep my interest. I will watch documentaries on many varied subjects, but have not seen most popular shows. I have a spiritual side, and want to incorporate it with my "half a redneck" side. I have read and listened to Wayne Dyer for many years.
I like being in nature far more than the mall, but believe I can turn any experience into a positive.
I love sitting by a camp fire on a cold night. And I love being in the mountains. Everytime I go, I feel like Kevin Costners character in "Dances with wolves". When he gets to the west and sees it for the first time, he says " Surely there can be no place like this on earth".
I like holding hands in public. I will walk in the rain ( no lightening please).
I sometimes tear up at the pledge of allegiance, and I like things that make me feel good about my country.
And I do have a problem with socks, what really does happen to them between putting them in the washer and taking them out of the dryer? And on the profile where it asks if you do drugs, does anyone ever says "yes"? That's kind of like the airport question right? "Did anyone other than you pack your bags". "Yes I came home and they were all packed and ready. I don't know who packed them sir."
Anyway, sometimes we get a little wore out from dating, at least when searching for that one special person. In the past I have been a workaholic but have more balance now. I still have goals and things I want to accomplish.

I prefer for the first date to be very casual such as meeting at a coffee house or for a drink and appetizer. Those are just ideas and I find some sponteniety is great!
