About me - first and foremost a family man, laugh easily, easygoing, not quite mensa material but not a slack-jawed knuckle-dragger either, prefer tea to coffee ( although not averse to the occasional 'specialty' coffee ), voted Green for the first time, kind and considerate, loved by all .... well you get the picture :-)
My main personal ambition: off dating websites 4ever !!!!!!!! I have checked out of the rat race and work actively and productively to maintain that lifestyle choice. I have no debts and like it that way. I maintain ( and exceed ) all financial obligations to my kids and, more importantly, stay involved in their lives. I have a son (17) and two daughters (16 and 12 ) who are fun and active kids, they live with their mom but we have a totally flexible and friendly access arrangement. **** PROUD DAD ALERT - my youngest daughter scored the winning shootout goal for her hockey championship !!!! ****
I love the north and see myself spending more time there starting in the near future. Summer fun for me includes canoes/kayaks/lakes/beaches/trees'n'rocks scenery. I like to ski but I also see my winters having an increasing southern component - I felt the cold this year like never before - I think it's Al Gore's fault :-)
I have taken on a lot of Mike Holmes type of repairs lately as I am readying a house to sell , but I am not a natural handyman - I do that sort of stuff as necessary, I find it interesting and rewarding but don't love it for it's own sake. My hands are soft, leading male acquaintances to ask me to perform lewd acts on their bodies that their wives won't do anymore - I always decline.
I am ultimately seeking a long-term romantic relationship - but recognize that relationships progress through distinct phases that will also overlap - so whether it's dating, romance, friendship .... I won't put pressure on myself or you to conform to some preconceived notion. I WILL treat you with dignity and respect, in good faith. I'm naturally monogamous and don't have problems with communication / intimacy / commitment. I'm honest, upfront, and sensitive ( but not in an annoying Ross on Friends sort of way ) as long as you tell me in words, out loud - I don't have emotional ESP that some women wish men had ( " If he really loved me he would just know ..." ). My baggage is long ago burned and buried ( I recently realized I have been divorced longer than I was married - there was no cake for that though).
About you - I'm reluctant to post a 'shopping list' of requirements as we are all people and not a take-out menu. As a guide though, I find myself attracted to women who are petite to average, smart, funny and honest.
