So, I am finally updating my profile. I actually had a bit of a difficult time doing the online dating thing. It really is not for me. I need to get to know someone first before I can date them. If someone comes at me too fast I head for the hills. Apparently I have been stalked one time too many. So, things have worked out the only way they could, really. I am extremely happily involved with someone who has been a friend for many years. It is a wonderful experience. I do not have to analyze what his motives are or what is really going on between us. I am sure most of you know exactyly what I mean! For those of you who know me, pray for him. He really does have his hands full! So, I am just on here for the forums. So let me say that in regards to my body type. I am not thin, or overweight, or toned (way too much estrogen) and I am anything but average. Why dont they have a curvacious choice, or something like that? So in protest, I have elected to put prefers not to say. So, let's make it a movement and everybody pick that and I'll make tee-shirts and we'll chain ourselves to something and sing protest songs and we'll lock arms when they try to put us in the paddy wagon and.......
OK... Is there anyone else out there that thinks it is a bit odd that they have added whether you have a car or not? Was there a problem with people not knowing this little gem of information? Did some woman go out on a date with a guy and he was going to pick her up and she had to ride to dinner on the handlebars or something? In "Women Who Run with the Wolves" she states if you really want to know a woman you must understand her duality. So, with that in mind I will try to share a little about myself. I am at once the giggling little girl and the wise old woman. I am the artist and the mathematician. I can be dead serious and completely silly at the same time. I am (I’ve been told) cute as hell and equally intense. I am intelligent, opinionated, out-spoken and passionate. I’ve been told I can be a bit intimidating. It probably saves time. I am acually an amazingly sweet and kind person but I have no desire to be with someone who wishes that I was somebody else.I think the sexiest thing about another person is self-confidence. So, who would you be? You would have to be intelligent and politically aware on some level. There should be little doubt in your mind that the current administration is evil. You are passionate, concerned and you are stoked to be alive. I have no interest in being with someone just to not be alone. There would have to be friendship first. So, even though I listed long-term relationship, that is the eventual goal and it takes time. I want magic in my life. So, if there are no sparks it would still be great to meet new friends with similar interest to talk to over coffee.
***Let's get the religion issue right out of the way. I am not a Christian. Gave it up for lent many years ago. Without being too rude, if you mention Jesus Christ anywhere in your profile odds are we are not a good match.
*** Wow, so much pressure. So, I have changed, atleast in wording my "goal" to friends. Although it is with the same intention hopefully the change will better outline the perameters. I personally have never gone on a blind date, and if on one would not consider it a date but a meeting. Just as I consider meeting someone on here for the first time a getting to know eachother opportunity with no pressure!

First Date
First date, hmm? Quite frankly I cannot stand dates in that sense. I am more of a sit down and get to know somebody kind of person. On first dates it seems that both people are sizing each other up to see if they fit into their little list of what they want out of a mate without really getting to know the other person. I am so not down with that. So, with that in mind I will say: I bump into someone quite by accident. I make some comment about how a. the world is over-populated and soylent green is people. b. They should impeach the SOBs now and how amazingly disappointed I am in Pelosi or c. You just happen to be trying to remember some little bit of trivia that is on the tip of your tongue and I blurt out the answer. We start talking and end up having a 4 hour long conversation over drinks. You politely ask me if you can take me to dinner sometime and I ask you to give me your number.
