I believe a relationship takes time to build, and that the best relationships--those that last and that are deep and meaningful, are ones that are based upon commitment, communication, and honesty.

I'm a person who believes in old-fashioned values of being true to the person I'm with, and showing her how much she means to me. I enjoy being romantic, and doing romantic activities with the person that I'm with--giving flowers or a note for no reason other than that I want to show her that I'm thinking of her, taking a weekend getaway together, taking a walk along the beach at sunset or a drive in autumn to see the colors change.

I love to be on or near the water. I grew up on a lake, and it's where I find the most peace and relaxation. I also find it to be a very romantic location when with the right person.

My family also is very central in my life. My children are very much a part of my life, and I cherish every moment that I have with them. Friends are also very important to me, and getting together with them for dinner or coffee is always a wonderful time.

A first date could be going to a nice dinner and then a walk through the park or along the beach to see the sunset. It's a time to get to meet each other and to get to know a little more about each other.
