I consider myself to be an honest and understanding woman. I look out for others before myself and treat others as I would want to be treated. I am a family person and come from a large one. I have been told I have a sense of humor and can make others laugh and smile, but I also know when to be serious and have a business side as well. I set goals for myself and do all I can to achieve them. I like to be active and outdoors as well as be creative in any way I can, from cooking to writing music or drawing. I consider myself a well-rounded person and a friend to many.

Well as I said for my occupation, I am an Elementary School teacher and recently graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Teaching has been my biggest aspiration since I was in Elementary School myself. I want to give back to children the wonderful education I was blessed to have.

I also recently became a certified Emergency Medical Technician for the state of VA and run with my local rescue squad. I am also the Publicity Director for my squad and enjoy it very much. Helping those in their most serious time of need and providing the care they need is so rewarding. I love what I do.

Likes are hard to describe really without someone asking you your favorite food, color, etc. I do like to be able to communicate openly with those I am close to. I believe that communication is honestly a basis for any type of relationship. I dislike people who lie, are disloyal, and who hide their thoughts or feelings from the person they are with.

I am looking for a man who is understanding and compassionate. I like a sense of humor and someone who can make me smile at any time. I want to meet someone who has goals as I do for themselves in life and strives to achieve them. I am looking for someone with similar interests and possibly something new to try that they enjoy. I like someone honest and loyal to those they care about and someone I can trust. Basically I want a good-hearted southern gentleman who knows how to treat a lady. I think a picnic in a park could be a perfect first date for a couple. This allows for a light meal, but also a quiet area to talk and get to know each other more. Restaurants are a bit louder to talk in when you are exploring each others interests, likes, dislikes, etc. I basically like an atmosphere that allows conversation and gives the couple a chance to just focus on one another and learn more about each other and see if there is a chemistry.
