I'm totally into anything adventurous outdoors, from backpack hikes to week-long cross-country ski treks. I like mountain biking, have recently fallen in love with downhill skiing, and occasionally wrestle bears to the death in my campsite. Some of my biggest ambitions in life are to hike the West Coast Trail, or to cycle across Canada. I care deeply about the environment and societal progress and try to educate myself as much as possible, and it annoys me that I live in a province where these values seem to be completely inconvenient.

I'm also kind of a culture nerd - I like theatre, film and art. You won't ever have to bribe me to take you out to a musical. I'm a huge music buff, from techno to gothic rock to metal. If I could find someone who shares my love for Depeche Mode or Tool , you wouldn't have to do much to win me over.

People tell me I have a sarcastic, dry sense of humour. I can laugh about anything, and for some reason I find cats to be one of the funniest things around (I have one, sometimes two). I'm very open-minded, and try to educate myself as much as possible. I can bake a mean pie, ask me to cook you one sometime. I'll even compliment you on a regular basis, but I can't guarantee they'll be good, cause I tend to appreciate weird things about people.

One of the cool things about being 29, is that I've come to have a pretty good idea of what I want out of life. Obviously someone who shares the same interests as me, but aside from that, I'd like to be challenged, physically and mentally. I don't mind stopping and waiting for you, but I keep wondering how cool it'd be if *you* had to stop and wait for me. Someone who can teach me a thing or two, cause I am always ready to learn new stuff. Someone who likes to travel, cause I'm gonna see the world. Someone who wants a family, cause while I'm not in the having-kids phase of my life, there's no way I'll be missing out on that. But most importantly, all you really have to be is kind, sincere, and compassionate, and I can mold you into everything else I want. (kidding) Changing people is bad.
