If I listed a bunch of adjectives I'd have to balance them with some opposites and what you'll notice about me might not be in the list.

Still, some facts might be worthwhile: Ph.D. in math drop-out but still interested, over 60 Zen retreats (3 to 5 days each -- what did I learn? -- that I am absent-minded and impulsive, so I have to remember that...), lived in BC 1967-76, was a go player www.usgo.org, used to do yoga classes twice a week, avid reader (dozens of books in progress), considered humorous with a glass of wine (but I'm not drinking these days!)

My Interests tell you what I do, and I'd like someone as a companion for some of that kind of thing, as well as learning from you how to make bread, garden, or go boating.

Here's what I don't do: TV, spectator sports, bars, though I've got nothing special against those things.

I like most people so it's hard for me to say what you should be like. I'd prefer if you were happy, healthy, and wise. Mild dissatisfaction, a few aches and pains, and some smarts should be fine.

I am going to go walk around the Comox golf course now, aimlessly (just got a pedometer). I would enjoy being shown the quirkier lanes and byways of the area. If you want to be my guide I will trot along faithfully at your side, tongue wagging all the while.
