What about me? My friends will tell you that I'm independent, creative, easy to be around and loyal as the day is long. My family will tell you that I'm stubborn, opinionated, funny, dependable and laugh a lot. I'll tell you that all of the above is true and then some. I am a pretty, quality woman who can express her feelings, needs, goals, aspirations, and belief systems. I like the things that make men and women different. I won't even begin to say that I understand it all - but without the differences, what fun would it be?

Carpet picnics, parks, movies, (and movies IN the park!) people watching, popcorn, cooking, romance, great kisses in a car while the rain pours and the lightning streaks across the sky!

Did I mention that I'm also a mess? LOL... baggage, some, but I'm learning from it, and it's not too heavy. I cry at sappy movies, and sweet cards. I hold things in when I should say something - so, I'm not perfect by any stretch... but, there's someone out there that, hopefully, I'm perfect for. :)

What should you be? A man who is in touch with his feelings, and can share them without accusation. Affectionate and attentive without jealousy, or controlling attitudes. You need to be a happy man, who has respect for himself and for others. Who can talk about ideas without condemnation if the other person doesn’t have the same viewpoint. You need to be comfortable in your own company, but not a loner. Someone who appreciates the unique differences between men and women, and can appreciate that difference as a positive thing. A good character with a sense of humor who is kind, passionate, faithful and flexible. Things aren’t always rosy and rolling with the punches, picking yourself back up, dusting off, and facing the next challenge with an open heart are necessary traits in life. Mean what you say, and do what you say.

And let's face it, if you're a bit of a mess as well, then... maybe we'll be perfect for each other.

First dates are tricky because everyone puts so much emphasis on them. Yet, in order to really know if you like someone, it takes more than one meeting. I guess the first one would be something flexible, like coffee, that could move to something else, like lunch or dinner, if the interest level was good.
