Politically, I'm a moderate leaning towards a small "l" liberal. I believe that there is too much extremism in the the world nowadays, both on the Left and the Right.

I live downtown in the St. Lawrence Market area and enjoy being within walking distance of so many different things to do. I like to go bicycling and I usually do the Ride for Heart every year (giving me the chance to go up the DVP faster on my bike than in my car). I also rock climb now and again and play a bit of softball in the summer. I like to read, watch movies, listen to tunes, tinker with my computer, go for a stroll, have a beer, shoot pool, think, lather, rinse, repeat. (Oops, my brain went into neutral for a moment there.)

I've got a pretty sharp sense of humour with a tendency to quip a lot. I'm an urbanite, always having lived in the big city, but I also don't mind the cottage life and the great outdoors. I like to travel and have gone diving in Cozumel, seen the Rembrandts in Amsterdam and taken a 3-day train trip to Vancouver among other things. I'm open to suggestions for my next trip.

Tunes: The Sisters of Mercy, Hothouse Flowers, Midnight Oil, The Tragically Hip, Rush, Nine Inch Nails, Coldplay, Enya, Leftfield, Black Eyed Peas, Orbital, Vangelis, Yes, Bach, Mozart, etc. Pretty much anything except Country and Disco.

Films: All time fave is a toss-up between Dr. Strangelove and Monty Python And The Holy Grail. The Insider. Syriana. Office Space. Comedies, Dramas and Thrillers, mainly. I don't mind chick flicks, I just don't have any in my DVD collection...

I'm looking to meet a woman, 31-41 give or take, no kids (I'd like to have some eventually, however) and within the GTA. A quick wit and a sense of humour are always welcome. She should like life in the city but isn't adverse to trips off to wherever.
