I’m the quiet one you have to watch, always thinking, mind jumping from one subject of interest to another. I have a mind for trivia, with a good memory and a wide range of interests. I’m always making odd connections on things. I’m really good at guessing plot lines. (which kind of takes the fun out of things sometimes) I’ve had a lot of odd ball hobbies over the years

I read a lot. I love going around the local used book store circuit every few months and spending hours in the stacks looking to fill in the holes in my collection and adding new authors. I prefer to support the local market before I’ll go looking for something I want online. My apartment is littered with books, even with two sets of book shelves they still seem to find their way into every room an onto every flat surface... Ok it’s really not as bad as it sounds but it is a good thing I don’t smoke or it would be a heck of a fire hazard!

I’m a news junky, and this election cycle it seems a political one as well, I even voted in the primaries! So most of the time I watch news, documentaries or travel shows. I hate sitcoms and so called reality TV! I don’t consider travel (or cooking) shows “reality” TV. Anthony Bourdain is the man. Walking the back ally markets of Xi’an in China so felt like a seen out of No Reservations. I can’t wait to get back to the Far East to do that kind of thing again.

I’ve gotten the travel bug the last few years; I’ve been on 3 vacations in 3 years. Las Vegas, Chicago, and the big one just last august China! The first two were fun but still safe here in the states; China was the big leap to the other side of the planet. It’s really opened me up to wanting to see more of the world. Now that I’ve stood in Tiananmen Square it only seems right that at some point I should go stand in Red Square, maybe that sounds silly but I really want to.

I’m also a hardcore sci-fi fan, some guys get together with there friends every week to watch the game me and my guys get together every week to watch sci-fi! We make a night of it, going out to dinner someplace different each week them coming back to the house to watch our favorite shows downloaded off the net we’ve been doing this once a week for a few years now.

Your probably getting the picture by now I’m not a beer drinking, sports bar, nascar kind of guy lol. I read a lot, I hardly ever drink, I have no idea what time the “game” is on, and as long as I can keep from getting to mouthy about my civil rights you shouldn’t have to bail me out of jail! I live a quiet pretty easy going kind of life.

I think a first date should be a light meeting lunch, coffee, that kind of thing. You want to be able to talk and see if there is any chemistry you don’t need a lot of distractions. Movies and fancy dinners are what second dates are for.
