I've been on here quite a while and found my perfect match a little in every profile I've read. Of course the initial photo is important. I'm not drawn to the guy with his ex-wife in the photo or holding a giant fish. I do like kind eyes and a face with character. I like a guy who owns a suit and tie and not one who likes to post a half naked picture of himself. My perfect match will be diverse. Educated enough to hold his own in a room full of professors and down to earth enough to spend a night in with friends playing cards and grilling out. I'm pretty well traveled and have just returned from Venice. However, I haven’t been to Asia and would love to meet somebody who also has that desire. I can be fun, playful and romantic but also intense, businesslike and realistic. Having big dreams and goals motivates me and being able to check off those goals excites the crap out of me. My list gets longer every year. I told my friends I was writing a new profile and asked them to describe me. This is apparently what I am: ‘Funny, loyal, hardworking, a little controlling, loving, dependable, brutally honest, don’t suffer fools, great cook’! I don’t sound too bad, do I? I should have left a tape recorder on the table when I left for the restroom… My interests? Life, love, people, the planet… I’m writing a book and love to read what others have to tell. I love my life and wake up every morning happy. I just need that right person I can roll over each morning and smile at.

I think meeting for coffee gives both parties enough time to know if they'd like to set a second date for dinner.
