I like to cook and I am constantly reading something. Too often it is "The Icky, Sticky Chameleon" or "There is a Monster at the End of this Book!"(I have a five year old son) Lately Chuck Palahnuik, Tom Robbins, Noam Chomsky, Ayn Rand and George RR Martin. One of my great loves is my motorcycle, but I have to resist temptation and keep it in storage until my son gets older.

Politics is also one of my interests. I like to keep up with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report. Both the Republican and the Democratic parties have something to offer, but I believe that neither have our best interests at heart. I am far more left leaning than right, but that said, I did not vote for The Green party! Simply put, I believe the sooner this country's political parties stop the partisan in fighting and start fighting for the good of the citizens, the better off this country will be!

You can find me out at some of the bars once in a while. Oh yeah and in my interests... I did say Barbara Streisand! It was no mistake! Yeah, I said it... stop laughing!!
Generally, I am relaxed and don't take myself too seriously. Of course there is a time and a place, but for the most part I'm kinda silly. I barely do it any more, but I LOVE to go out dancing. I LOVE TO GO DANCING!! All night long! I am a big ole' house head. Disco based, garage, neo-soul and salsa based house! While I have a wildly varied taste in music (Old styled country to 70-90's punk) I am really into the neo-soul and acid jazz sound. Omar, Family Stand, Groove Theory, Nuyorican Soul, that sort of thing. Oh just go to Youtube and look them up!
I have lived in a few different cities and countries! I like to think that I have experienced several different sides of life. Speaking of life, I am very happy with mine. I work a job that I love (I am one of those that work to live, not live to work) and have a great set of friends. I enjoy my down time and really would love to find someone to share some of that time with.

Actually I like to go out and do stuff. Any stuff! Sitting around at home is fun, but I want to get out and do the town once in a while, or kayak, go to some of the local wineries and taste their wares, take a cooking class or a yoga class or a glass blowing class, or go and pick whatever fruit is in season, go to an art opening or WHATEVER! There is so much to do out here! Step out and have some fun! But don't get me wrong, sometimes a quiet night (when everyone ELSE is out and about) is better than just about anything I can think of!

While I'm not much of a sports nut, I love to play! Be it a pick up game, some volleyball at the family picnic and heck, I even surprised myself by joining a bowling league last year (should mention that I never bowled before that). In my entire 38 years, I have never gone fishing, but my son wanted to learn so we now have a fishing pole! Needless to say, we caught nothing. I would humbly accept lessons. I've have also never been camping. Yeah I know, a real city boy! But I am willing to try it... preferably with a grizzled veteran and in my backyard!!

What I am hoping to find is an easy going woman to spend some time with. Intelligent, witty and the ability to hold up her end of a conversation is important. Laughing at my jokes will score points. There is no one 'type' that I go for. As long as I think that you are attractive, then I am happy. I want someone that is spontaneous enough that she will come crashing along when I have the urge to go on some ridiculous adventure (if not crash along then at least follow along with a raised eyebrow and a grin!) yet grounded enough that she is stable in her life and her thoughts. Someone that is unafraid to try new things and strong enough to introduce me to new ideas and experiences in turn! If you think that going out dressed as Santa Claus (and Mrs. Claus) with a hundred similarly clad strangers on a pub crawl around the Holidays would be a blast, but also think that spending the evening sharing a bottle of wine while trying to make stuffed peppers together for the first time and watching a couple of movies or dressing up for Halloween to hand out candy are great ideas, then you are the woman that I wanna talk to you.

First date description... I guess I prefer to keep it casual. A decent lounge restaurant setting where we can sit and talk or some place that we can just have fun.
First dates are to have fun and not meant to be too serious you know? Just a chance for two people to get together, share a good time and see if there is a connection. To see if they would like to get together and share an evening with each other again.
