I am a single, never been married male, 35 years of age. I like to cook, read, write short stories and poetry, camp, hike, dance, sing, watch movies and travel. I am looking for someone with a great sense of humor, intelligence, a strong sense of self and that enjoys conversation. My idea of how I think a person should approach a serious relationship is this: To me when two people are in a serious relationship there has to both be in it to please each other. To me this means that it is more than 50/50 all the time. Sometimes it's 90/10 or 40/60 or 70/30. The point is that you have to be willing to give and take. Now for example I feel that as a man I should do things that my woman finds pleasing, like if she likes spending time alone then I should just tell my friends hey I am going to spend time with my woman and if they have a problem with that tough, a man's woman should come first in his life and he should be first in hers. Now when/if the relationship moves to the next level, marriage, then I believe they should become one and by that I mean there is no longer any mine or hers only ours. We both should strive to reach OUR goals, and OUR fullest potential.

For a first date I would like to take my date on a picnic in the park. After we have eaten and talked we could then go for a nice walk and talk some more. Later that day, if everything goes well, I would like to then take her to dinner and then a movie.
