So apparently I'm terrible at writing these, so here goes again. I'm a dreamer and an idealist, as well as something of a misanthrope - but I hate seeing people unhappy, because I know too well what it's like. I have a pretty unconventional set of interests, ranging from sci-fi to fantasy to mysticism. I devour novels, sometimes in as little as 12 hours (reading straight through), then promptly forget the entire thing except for bits and pieces, sometimes not even the "interesting" ones. I'm interested in mysticism as I mentioned, but any faith I may have once had in the supernatural is rapidly fading - maybe it's something that comes with age, but I hope to have it rekindled someday. All the same, it's still very much an interest, and it's something I can talk about for hours.

I love water to the point where it bears special mention - rivers, lakes, little secluded brooks, even the ocean (except for crabs and jellyfish). I went kayaking once in Cocagne, and once I got past the fear of capsizing I didn't wanna go back to shore. On my own I'm not very active, I feel that going hiking and such are things I'd much rather have company for - and if I do, I thoroughly enjoy them.

Ideally what I would like is something along the lines of a close friend. Someone to hang out with, kill time with, just doing whatever. "More," in the way of an actual relationship, would be awesome, but I'm not especially looking for it.

Dark deserted places aren't really first date material, but swingsets at night are awesomely creepy and not quite as morbid as the cemetery (which is also fun). Maybe save that for a second or third date, and a daytime swingset could be the first.
