I am intelligent but, unfortunately, no longer able to work. Am on Social Security Disabilty so I don't have any spare money. I do have a weird sense of humor. Not a morning person, I am often online late at night, I have dialup. I am a compassionate, empathic person. I would like a gentle, kind man with good manners and good grooming, for companionship and friendship ONLY. He needs to be a good conversationalist and to have a sense of humor. He should be sensitive and not afraid to express his emotions verbally. I am shy and warm up slowly to new people. I don't like beards, but a mustache is fine. I usually like younger men, a few years younger, but I'm willing to give anyone nice a chance. I like most types of music including classical. I've lived in NYC and London, England. I was born and raised in NJ and I've come back to my home state, but learned to drive late in life so I don't find my way around easily and don't go far from where I live. I am able to walk and do moderate exercise. You can't tell why I am on disability by looking at me, but I do spend time going to doctors and the pharmacy, I am on quite a few medications for my conditions. I cannot make any toll calls or long distance calls, so you would have to live in my area or be willing to call me. My picture is not current, my hair is short and brown, but I am going to let it go gray, I can no longer afford the dye! The thing I don't like about being on disability is that I cannot go out and I enjoy going out. I have to watch every penny I spend and scrimp on many items. So maybe there is a kind male friend out there for me who would be just a friend ONLY, so it would be a platonic relationship. I'm not looking for intimate encounters at all, just friendship and someone who is willing to be understanding. My "income level" is very low. Thanks for reading this!

A good first meeting is a snack, lunch or dinner in a public place near where I live. The first meeting should be short, but long enough to give us time to talk, start to get to know each other and see if we want to be friends. I don't like aggressive or macho men and I am not looking for romance. We should have some similar interests. Equal partnerships are the best, so no one is going to be "the boss" -- in other words, mutual give-and-take and sharing and good communication. No fighting or screaming, just calmly discussing things. I find this is true of friendships as it is for all relationships. You should wear casual, but neat clothing (jeans are cool), be fairly well-groomed, and be a good listener as well as a good talker. Thanks for your time and let's have some fun together.
