As a teacher, I have been an analyzer of the human psyche for over 22 years. I do not claim to have solved the mysteries of relationships, only to have been an observer and as a scientist of sorts, to have collected my data. With no conclusion to offer, I have only anecdotes and a few recurring observations, which do make for amusing conversation.
I teach high school biology, by the way, which makes me a saint or clinically insane. I must say that after 22 years, I still live for a single child’s “Aha” moment. The job isn’t what it used to be with all the bureaucracy and paperwork, but I still like going to work and know in my heart that each day I plant a seed of success in another life.
I have been a single parent for nine years, and now that my lovely daughter is eighteen, it is time for me to spend some long deserved time on myself. I enjoy a wide variety of interests. I like most outdoor activities including, but not limited to fishing, hiking, camping, and almost anything that involves a large body of water. I enjoy theatre, live bands, and museums of all sorts, good company and good conversation. My friends appreciate my absolute honesty, which I usually temper with restraint until breached with a question. I abhor drama and will avoid conflict at all costs, until my principles have been violated. I have high ideals and expectations, but in the end I am a realist. Friendship is one of life’s greatest treasures and I know how to keep confidences.
I am hoping to meet an intelligent articulate man with whom to spend my time and interests. I am not looking for a man to complete me; I am already whole. I would just like to share life’s little moments with a similar minded individual that stimulates my mind as well as my other senses. Favorite authors include Anne Rice, Dan Brown, Michael Crighton, and James Patterson.
Favorite tv shows include House, Criminal Minds and Law and Order.
I want to visit Italy and England someday.
I love live music of all kinds.
