I am that GOOD-HEARTED MAN that you are all looking for (hehe). If you are a lot younger than me, I probably will not write, but if you contact me, I will always respond. Yes, I know I am old, but if you keep reading, you will fall in love with me :)

Currently teaching university in Changsha, China. This will probably be my last year of teaching. I am looking for someone special, and for some place special, to retire to next year. Pattaya sounds like a good option. I am not interested in the night life much, but I would like to live near the beach. I should be there for a look around, and to check out apartments, over the February Chinese New Year break.

I returned to Australia in June 08 from teaching High School in Bangkok, after a year teaching at a Chinese university. I spent most of the previous 7 years either working on Pacific Islands, or living in the USA. Prior to that I was an accountant and corporate executive in Australia.

Born in England, raised in Melbourne, I now call Brisbane home. I have travelled the world extensively, (26 countries so far, actually living in 8) but there are still a few more places that I want to see. My last trip before this one was to New Zealand in Nov.08. Travel is my passion.

I am well educated [CPA, MBA, PhD] but don't let that put you off. I am also a big fan of Stand-Up Comedy. I don't take myself, or life, too seriously.

Smoking: I go through periods where I might start and have a few a day, but not many, so it is difficult for me to answer this. Other times I do not smoke at all. I certainly will not smoke around you. I hardly drink at all, and do not gamble, so my one small vice is not too bad I think.

I like women with energy, a streak of insanity, and a sense of adventure. I am comfortable with who I am. I try to live an active life and I weigh around 72kg. Food holds little interest for me. If I have to choose, then I would say that Italian and French are my favourites.
Maturity (bah humbug). I will always be a kid at heart.

My ideal first date is something outdoorsy. Somewhere at the beach, or with mountains and rivers, and a picnic basket/blanket/bottle of wine, but realistically a coffee shop meeting would work better, with the picnic saved for the real first date.
