Words will only mislead you, so trust your intuition over the facts." I love poetry and I think it's safe to say I am very poetic. Not just with poems, but my way of life. To this day I haven't met a person that I couldn't make laugh. Also to this day I haven't met a person I couldn't make smile. There is a big difference between the two! I am confident enough to say I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and unlike any other guy you've met before. This includes all the OJ Simpson/ Abe the stalker's you've meet, outside at these clubs or through your girlfriends LOL. This is my view of evolution. The older you get the more fond your mind becomes of your heart. They start to develop a bond together and like a picture coming into focus, you finally discover who you really are. Someone once asked me the question, "What do you miss most about being in a love/relationship?" After much thought the answer was simple and the answer was clear. FRIENDSHIP! I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and not just stop at reading my image. If I had to write a book that was condensed down to one phrase, it would consist of nothing more than this: "Be yourself, especially do not feign affection nor be cynical to love. For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly to the counsel of the years gracefully surrendering the things of youth." What I desire? To meet someone who is not only attractive physically, but mentally. Ambitious, goal orientate, and hasn't forgotten how to dream. Someone that doesn't mind quiet evenings with helping each other out in the kitchen, then cuddling to a good movie or two after putting away the dishes. Someone that doesn't mind going to the zoo, or taking long rides and get-a-away trips for the weekend. I am such a "dork" or a homebody silly and goofy when its the right time and place, serious and reliable. I've had my share of being seen and being heard, thats in the past and now I prefer being part of the background. In this world we call home, I believe dating is prefabricated. Same routine's, same scenario's , same outcome's. Because I have yet to find that 25th hour of the day, the 8th day of the week, or 366th day of the year. I am open and welcome any avenue that might allow me to do so, Hence welcome to Plenty of Fish.

Most people select the obvious. Movie, dinner, club or bar. I have always been taught not to chew with your mouth full and to be quiet when the show starts. Bars can be fun but tend to be noisy as all the hero's filled to the top with "liquid courage" take advantage of their opportunity to talk and say whats on their mind. With these choices, the "first date" always ends the same. You two go home still not knowing anything about each other. Why we meet, and instead of looking at it as "I'm attracted to you and you are attracted to me", go out and do something you both like or have in common and get to know your date as a human being and make your assessments on that?
