It is difficult to talk about myself when you want to make an impression, but do not want to sound self-centered. I grew up as the oldest of 8 children and have always loved children; my original practice area was pediatrics and especially critical care, now I am in healthcare administration. My present job has me traveling to over 13 states as the company I work for is a very large health system. I am successful within my profession, possibly too successful in that I let it draw me away from my personal time. This I am working on. I am easy going, probably joke too much, but life is meant to be a fun time, even when things seem difficult. I love to be active and I especially enjoy meeting and experiences other cultures and lifestyles. I am basically a country person who loves getting to the city for fun, albeit for a movie, theatre, an orchestra, a museum or a restaurant.
My hobbies are varied, I enjoy animals and want a ranch for performance quarter horses as I leave the medical field. I enjoy running working-out, bike riding,scuba diving and racquetball, but also slow times.., walks through autumn leaves, a trip to a ski area, a sunset over the ocean, watching the horses play on a dew covered pasture as the sunrises...I love to cook, especially foods with spice and from different countries; I also enjoy being "cooked for" (grins- sometimes too much! )
Someone who is comfortable with themselves and understands that we all make mistakes in our past, but we learn and grow. Our time is short here and we should not waste it in games. I am looking for someone who wants to be beside me, not in front or behind... I also believe that race, age, and culture, mean little in a mate, except a basis to experience their life! I am a Christian, and that is a very important part of my life, I do not judge based upon beliefs, but feel you should not judge either! I am seeking a friend, someone who enjoys talking, but at times enjoys just being in the same room and doing there own "thing." As I am active, I prefer that they be active as well. By active I mean able to run, bike, or even play racquetball with me. I will be honest in that my days of having my own children are over, but there are plenty of children that need love and I enjoy them. My goals include having a place that children with challenges may come and ride horses, to be able to experience the joy and freedom that this bond can bring.
I don't believe a glass is either half full or half empty - I visualize it overflowing!
ADDENDUM: May 2008 I am one that totally respects an individuals privacy, one of the differences the web has created is that it is difficult to know when someone is open to talking with you.... as such I RARELY contact anyone on here unless they have at least "waved" or said "hello"... nothing more than that, just the "ok" to contact.
