About Me
Hi, my name is _____, and I'm a musician. I blame Mrs Miller. In Grade 9 she showed me that I could listen for notes, find them, and rearrange them however I liked. From then on I was hooked. Now I play in 4 bands, help create and refine it in various basement labs, and work at helping fellow addicts get their fix. I'm a lost cause.
Despite my addiction, I'm an intelligent, articulate guy. I'm well-read, though largely self-educated, and have a curious mind. I have a subtle sense of humour and enjoy setting up 'stealth' jokes to make people laugh even if I'm not around to see it. I love word play and word games like Scrabble or Boggle, but I don't spend time memorizing obscure words in the dictionary. Much.
While a large part of my life revolves around music, it's far from the whole of it. I love reading and I'm fascinated by story in any form. I love absurdist humour that revels in the ridiculous. Douglas Adams is revered on my bookshelf, I spent years quoting Monty Python, and I get all the jokes on Futurama. I like cartoons. I love film as well and often go on extended runs of directors I enjoy like Terry Gilliam, and Woody Allen. I run through authors that way too. I find it fascinating how people's ideas and philosophies develop over time. I love watching a whole season of a favorite show back to back. (current obsession - Battlestar Galactica) I enjoy keeping fit. I bike as much as possible and hit the gym a couple of days a week. I'm definitely not a club guy.
What am I looking for? Well, my ideal woman is open and down to earth. I love people who don't take themselves too seriously and take time to consider others. I'm a sucker for sweet smile, a quick laugh, a dorky sense of humour, and a sharp mind. A love of the arts is important too.
