C'est une blague! Just kidding about Paris (we don't even know each other yet:).
I do enjoy travelling, though. I always want to see what's around the next corner, whether it's in another country, somewhere else in Canada, or here in Alberta. I just got back from Central America, and I'd like to go back some time.
As much as I like to visit other places (I've also lived abroad a couple of times), I'd like to settle in Edmonton. I've become established in my career here, and I want to be close to my family. They're very important to me.
I like to stay active and take part in a variety of sports. I try to get outside as often as I can, especially in winter. There's more to choose from in the summer, though!
There's a lot going on around Edmonton, and I try to check out as much as possible. Right now I'm enjoying my favourite part of the summer festival season. I'm always up for trying different types of food (myself, I'm a master of crock-pot cookery:). I tend to watch mostly of foreign language films and mindless comedies, although I enjoy most types of movies.
There are some things that I'm serious about (e.g., social justice, the environment), but I don't take myself too seriously (I need to be able to laugh at myself - my students certainly do!). I hope to find someone who shares my sense of humour.

It would be nice to get together for a drink, get to know each other a bit better, and see where things go from there.
