Hi...I'm a 47 year old mom of two, aged 19 and 16. I have been divorced for about four years, after being married for 20. I enjoy being single (gotta have my solitude sometimes), but I would also like to have some dates, and am hopeful about getting married again someday. I am definitely not a bitter manhater! The qualities I am especially looking for in a man - great sense of humor, respectful, honest, kind, sexy, a good dancer, musicians are even better, intelligent, compassionate, handy around the house (or at least he knows who to call!), someone who listens when I talk, and above all, a Christian. My faith is central to my life, and I can't imagine being seriously involved with someone who doesn't put God first.
I guess I should say here that I am currently unemployed (was a receptionist for 2 doctors) and am still recovering from my second brain surgery, which was in March 2007. I had a malignant tumor, and had to undergo radiation therapy and chemo pills. I am doing well, still just a little tired now and then, and not much hair. But I do have a wig that I wear in public!! Many people say I am an inspiration to them, but I really don't feel like it. You just do what you have to do, with God's help.
Oh... if you like to cook, that's great, because I'm the queen of frozen microwave food. But if you don't, we can always go out, or order a pizza. I enjoy going out and being with friends, but sometimes a night at home watching TV (which I watch way too much of) is great, too. I believe that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats a waiter, and the way he treats his mother. I am not willing to settle for anything less than the right man for me... I made a mistake the first time around. I know it's a tall order, but I believe he's out there!!

Ideally, dinner at a quiet restaurant where we can talk and get to know each other, then going country/western dancing. Movies aren't good first dates to me... you can't talk! If you're into camping/boating/hiking, etc., I'm sorry I'm not the one for you. The first date should be one that makes you look forward to the second.
