Things I like:MUSIC-(new)country, rock, smooth jazz & acoustic. PLACES-Going for trips to the mountains, ocean, lakes, rivers, woods, or just funky places off the beaten track. Junk shops and antique stores can be fun when the weather is bad, but I am sure there's lots more to list that I haven't thought of. I like to enjoy the city hangouts now and then, and love comedy (but haven't been for ages)
I don't have a need to be on the go, but am not a homebody. I am okay with staying home on rainy nights watching a movie, playing cards, working on a house project, or visiting friends- all are just fine with me. I was the Balderdash champ years ago- could reclaim my title anytime...
I lived in Oklahoma for many years. Back there, the "3 R's" were racing, rodeo, and 'rastlin'. I still laugh at redneck jokes. I still like rodeos, and I enjoy going to local car races now and then too. I no longer have the accent, but as soon as I start talking to my family back home it seems to come back (is that weird?).
I like to go boating, but don't own a boat- now there's a problem, huh? I love to go on motorcycle rides, but don't own a motorcycle either. I do own a truck- because I was always needing to haul something- including my labrador- so it made sense....but with the price of gas these days, I am thinking I should have got a Prius...
I am told I have a good eye for photography, and I take alot of pictures. Digital cameras have saved me a fortune:) I used to do more crafty things- weave baskets (learned that in the mental hospital- okay, just kidding!), draw, and create all kinds of nifty gifts, but have been short on time lately. I always have projects I would like to do, things I want to create, or a place I want to see. Of course, I never seem to do it all... I have built some awesome fences- and can use power tools, but would rather be a project assistant, or atleast work together on something. I'd rather be a girly girl.
I like road trips, and don't mind driving. In the gray winter months in WA I keep thinking there's gotta be winter vacations in the sun in my future? (hey!!-->Maybe that's what airplanes are made for?) I've never used my passport yet, and would like to do that before it expires. I've been invited to Mexico 3 years in a row- to go with gal friends, and have had to decline due to scheduling- but next year I swear I am going!!
This summer I have taken trips to places far off the beaten track with my son. I wish I could have had another adult on those excusions, and my son is getting bored of me :) I tend to head to lakes, rivers, mountains- places where you can see all the stars at night. Clean air, clean water and gorgeous sunsets are high on my list of appreciation. I really like to go far away from the city and watch a clear sky full of stars.
Now some bad news:

I am allergic to beer and red wine- did I just ruin your day? I drink white wine and ocassionally foo-foo drinks like Mojitos. (FYI-I am also NOT "420 friendly" and that's not negotiable, I honestly can't tolerate potheads or druggies-so don't waste my time! )
I'm not a skinny gal, but have been actively working on losing weight -and have been very successful at that. A work in progress here- I am NOT a candidate for the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated. (but my pictures are current.) I am certainly not looking for Mr Perfect Hardbody, but if the TV remote is glued to your hand, we might not hit it off. (anyone else see Foxworthy's skit on thieves stealing his remote? I thought that was hilarius! )
Let me clarify one thing- it says I don't want children on my profile, but there was no choice for "does not want to give birth to any more children". I like kids, I have one, and if you do, bring 'em on! My son is a single kid, and he would love a companion to play with.
I'm easy to talk to, am told I make people feel instantly comfortable. I can talk to an auditorium full of people and feel comfortable doing so, but I don't expect you to. (would be cool if you were interested in my work though?) I am a GREAT mom, and would like to be a great girlfriend. Think big heart here.
here's a great quote that was on my refrigerator for 5 years:
"adversity causes some men to break, others to break records"
