About Me
Okay, I'm an IT slacker. I like what I do though and my customers are usually happy to see me walk through the door. I'm also quite good at food and wine. (if we were playing wine "trivia pursuit", trust me, you want me on your side.)
I've indicated that I smoke occasionally. I don't smoke cigarettes but I generally won't refuse a good Cuban cigar. Usually about two per month.
I'd like to find someone to go out with and just do something fun. I'm not picky and I'm easily amused. I've been a too serious lately and forgotten that life is about the journey, not just the destination. Shoot pool, go fishing, motorcycle ride... Get yourself out of the house and do something different. There is an OFF button on that remote.
What's The Last Good Book You've Read? Hmmmmm? Tell me. (I hope it wasn't that Men are from Mars, Women are from Neptune) Last great book I read - The Fifth Harmonic by F. Paul Wilson but The Song of Solomon (King James Version) is a perennial favorite.
Celebrity I resemble most - I've been told Nathan Lane but I'm really just a humble jumble of God’s crooked smile. (Stole that humble jumble line from a song by the singer Jim White: ) Best or worst lie I've ever told - Me? I never lie! If I could be anywhere at the moment? - I'm happy just about anywhere. Songs or album that puts me in the mood - I'll Be Around by The Spinners, Constant Craving by kd lang, Desire by Deepak Chopra and Demi Moore, Shower the People by James Taylor, almost anything by Kate Bush or Davis Sylvian, Johnny Hartman and John Coltrane, Bobby Bland, Albert King. (My username is Vivessence on imeem too)
Favorite Artists? Paul Klee, Gustav Klimt, Rene Magrite, I like the turn of the century artwork and posters of absinthe, vermouth, Port wine producers that depict life just a bit askew of reality.
Have you ever seen the film "The Fountain" with Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz, Ellen Burstyn? "Spanning over one thousand years, and three parallel stories, The Fountain is a story of love, death, spirituality, and the fragility of our existence in this world." It is one of my favorites. The five items I can't live without - Friends, Harmony, Implements of culinary destruction (cooking stuff), Red Wine, and music.
I CAN live without selfish people with a me-first attitude. Gratitude is important. In my bedroom, you'll find - On special occasions I break out the full-sized circus trapeze (without the net so be careful you don't break anything or scare the monkeys) otherwise it's just the usual everyday stuff. Hmmm, did I say "I never lie!" HAA-Ha! WHY YOU SHOULD GET TO KNOW ME You need an interesting diversion. I can talk about things besides sports and work. MORE ABOUT WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR Someone with a whimsical yet realistic outlook.
Since its POF I've added a fish picture. Please bear in mind that this pic is after about a mile and a half hike through mangroves. It was worth it.
