I seem to smile 97% of the time & I like to keep it that way...make me laugh, even better!! Constantly fascinated by the beauty of God's creative landscape...He's quite the artist, don't ya think?!;.the heavens & the earth, clouds & storms, hills & hollers....animal lover & my dogs are part of my family...raised my 2 boys (or did they raise me? hmm) now it's ME time.......
You.....hopefully u like all the above things & then some....do you like to dance? sometimes you've just gotta....music moves me in my daily life.....do u have a tune in your head that you dance to? How about fishing? camping? star-gazing? storm-chasing? wanna take me for a Harley ride through the beautiful countryside? a frozen lime margarita & fresh made pico de gallo with chips....mmmmmm icy cold longnecks & fried catfish.... a roaring campfire, a sky full of stars, & good friends to share it with....yep...the simple things...
Be my friend.....that's what we all need the most......the rest is gravy, Sugar! who doesn't like gravy?! or sugar, for that matter! Never know what might blossom out of friendship......hmmmmm.....
***i'm no "barbie-doll", nor have i ever wanted to be...i affectionately refer to myself as a "chunky-butt" and, for all of you shallow, "beauty is only skin deep" kinda fellas...move on along...i have no time for the likes of you...I believe that beauty comes from within and makes the outside shine! I want someone to like me for my kind and loving heart and my generous, easy-going spirit, not because I might have nice "assets"....outward beauty can fade, with age, illness or stress....inward beauty is true and everlasting....I reckon you just have to decide for yourself... which is more important, in the grand scheme of things? Which will last a lifetime and which will wear-off like the faux veneer that it is? hmmm?***
I'm not one to like "dating around", implying more than one fella @ a time, but I don't wanna "rush into" anything...but, the "ultimate goal" is a long-term, stable, loving relationship. I STILL believe that FRIENDSHIP builds a solid foundation and we all hope to find that person that we can spend the "long haul" with, don't we? (c'mon...admit it..can't be a dawg forever!! at least, ya won't find TRUE happiness if ya are..)**
Update: 09-21-07, I injured my back, while rescuing a fella, with a broken leg, on a steep/heavily wooded slope. After a little P.T.(aka heating pad & TENS unit), I was released back to duty, despite still having back problems & subsequently told that my "services were no longer required", that I was "no longer a good fit". Back still hurts, healing is a slow go of it...But, heck, I'M STILL SMILING!!! lol
***06-15-08....well, I've seen first hand the power of prayer and how Jesus Christ wraps His arms around someone to bring them thru a crisis. On the night of Memorial Day(05-26-08), I was on the phone with my youngest son's g/f, when he went unresponsive, collapsed on the floor. I told her to call 911 and called his brother, who lived nearby. I immediate ramped up my praying for my son and our family and for MY calmness and clarity of thought. God Bless the Paramedics that responded to the call, the doctors and nurses that realized that he needed to be flown to specialty care, the helicopter medics, docs and nurses that continued the excellent care and got him to the surgical table as a viable candidate! God Bless the surgeon who repaired his DISSECTED AORTA and, with God's guidance and hands, saved my son's life! God Bless each and every person who cared for him, prayed for him and for my family for rushing to his side, even though we all live 100 - 500 miles away from each other. My son is recovering, miraculously, at his home....he only spent 9 days in the hospital, after open heart surgery and being near complete multi-system organ failure! The surgeon said he is a WALKING MIRACLE! and WE ALL KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT! THANK YOU, JESUS!!! I am humbled before You.
