Luv, luv, luv music - oldies & ALL classic rock (Beatles, Floyd, Allmans, CSNY, Eagles, ELO, Queen, Zeppelin, Renaissance, Joel, Doors, & some new stuff, 104.3, etc.) Stones: "You can't always get what you want, but you can get what you need." IMO, if you're persistent, you can get both. LOL. What would you take, if limited, to that proverbial desert island? Yeah, I know, I've been called a pip before....you wouldn't be the first.

Neil Young said "It's better to burn out than to fade away," but I'd like to know what YOU think. "Desperado" was my wedding march - seriously.

Like concerts, museums, comedy clubs, art/photography exhibits. Most live venues are more interesting than their passive counterparts.

Still like to "hang out" and people watch/listen, or stay at home listening to music w/a glass of red and whatever on the 'barbie.' Would like a guy who's current and young at heart (me & Bourdain; his snark is amusing) -- not rock-climbing, MCs, hunting. Always an irreverent free spirit and a bit of a rebel, but any baggage is well-packed and the usual going from jeans to a gown is easy and well done. Not particularly interested in swimming in the mainstream, but can if I have to.

Into literature, art and good movies. I'd also appreciate a guy who absolutely gets the stooopid humor of Young Frankenstein, Spinal Tap, Monty Python, Peter Sellers. Make me laugh and I'll follow you anywhere (within reason). Is there anybody who doesn't like to laugh? Puhleeze...

I like the usual things (sunsets, puppies), but it’s the person with whom you do it, not the activity. As a displaced native New Yorker, I'd like to stroll the Cloisters with a guy who doesn't overuse "It is what it is" and "That's the way I roll." LOL - but seriously. And artists of any sort who create are always interesting.

I think commonality, companionship and compatability (like the alliteration?) are the most important things at this stage of life.

I do have a strong abstract/philosophical side, and sense of humor is always much appreciated, as is irony, and awareness of our current world situation. Would like to share experiences with mutual understanding and comprehension. (Read that as: sometimes need a strong shoulder). Communication is essential to any relationship and I can be either intense or silly, and a cuddler in front of TV on a snowy winter's day. Also just love challenges.

In summary, I'm sane, complex, smart, sensitive, loyal, kind, loving, open-minded, witty, fun, adaptable, aware/current, young at heart - nurturing, too - and of course, contradictory at times. AND substance is more important than looks. Good conversation is sometimes the best part and my carrot on a stick is intelligence/knowledge and sharing of same.

Also, I do NOT own a dog that fits into my purse, and Armani/Gucci/Chanel are not important to me, unless you ARE one - LMAO - and in that case, we will have some things to discuss - maybe.

Exploring and hanging out in NYC is, of course, icing on the cake. Would love to do it AGAIN for the first time. There's nothing like it! What are you waiting for????
